Freshly baked bread, cake, pastries and other treats are increasingly sold at the very affordable price of just 1,000 won ($0.73) at vendor stalls and stores inside subway stations in Seoul amid the rising cost of living.
The government has introduced additional measures for heating costs. It was decided to expand the recipients of heating cost support to all basic livelihood security recipients and the next-lowest class, and to increase the subsidy to a maximum of 592,000 won.
