Jamie McCarthy/Getty ImagesCelebrities served their best fashion looks on the 2024 Met Gala red carpet Monday, May 6.Held in New York City, the theme, "Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion," is positioned to be an exploration of "rebirth" and "renewal" that uses nature as a metaphor for the impermanence of fashion, according to a release from the Metropolitan Museum of Art.In addition to this year's theme, there is an associated dress code titled "The Garden of Time," which is inspired by J.G. Ballard's 1962 book of the same name. Here are some of the night's most memorable looks:Zendaya: A co-chair of the event, the Challengers actress wore not one but two looks. She stepped out earlier in the evening in a Maison Margiela gown in hues of blue, accessorized with a unique headpiece and dramatic makeup. She then appeared in a black 1996 Galliano gown for Givenchy with a flower bouquet headpiece.Tyla: At her first Met Gala, the singer wore a Balmain dress designed by Olivier Rousteing that appeared to be made of sand. Due to the unique material of the dress, she had to be carried up the stairs.Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo: The Wicked costars walked the carpet together, with Ari in a mother-of-pearl Loewe gown and Erivo in a bright pink rose petal-adorned outfit.Cardi B: The rapper’s voluminous black dress, made by Chinese designer Windowsen, needed an entourage to help spread out its massive tulle train.Mindy Kaling: The actress wore a stunning sand-colored sculptural gown by Indian designer Gaurav Gupta. “It’s called the melting flower of time,” Mindy told Vogue on the carpet.Noticeably missing from the night was Rihanna, who reportedly came down with the flu and had to cancel her appearance, according to People.Copyright © 2024, ABC Audio. Disney/Scott KirklandHear a little of Dobie Gray's "Drift Away" on Dustin Lynch and Jelly Roll's new single, "Chevrolet"? Well, that was every bit intentional."I guess it's our rendition of 'Drift Away.' Jelly Roll and I got approached to do a remake of that song that's been around forever, with a new lyric over that classic melody," Dustin tells ABC Audio. "We're so honored to be a part of that.""Our new lyric is 'Chevrolet.' We both drive Chevy trucks, and it's a song that I've lived and continue to love to live," he shares. While releasing new songs can be nerve-wracking for Dustin, having Jelly on it got him pretty fired up."You know, it's always scary putting out new music. When you got a guy on fire like Jelly Roll to put a song out with, that song just raises its hand. It's like, 'OK, yeah, we'll put it out.' And that's doing big things for us," shares Dustin. "Chevrolet" is currently approaching the top 20 of the country charts. You can find it on Dustin's latest album, Killed the Cowboy, out now.To see Dustin on his ongoing Killed The Cowboy Tour, visit dustinlynchmusic.com.Copyright © 2024, ABC Audio. All rights reserved.

ABCParker McCollum has rolled out a music video for his song "Things I Never Told You."The video features Parker fully in his element onstage at a sold-out headlining show at Texas' Moody Center, but the focal person is not him — it's his mother.Besides performance footage, the video interweaves heartfelt photos and clips of Parker and his mom from over the years, including them dancing together on Parker's wedding day.Though Parker didn't write "Things I Never Told You," he says its storyline resonated with him."My buddy Taylor Phillips sent this song to me one day. He wrote it with Lynn Hutton and Monty Criswell and just one time through…I didn’t even listen to the whole song, but halfway through after the first chorus, I said, 'I’m in. I’m singing that song,'" Parker shares."It reminded me so much of my mom and I knew she would love to hear it," the Texas native recalls. "I didn’t tell her anything about it. I had her come to one of [our] tour rehearsals this year and played it for her there, full band with the whole production and everything and an empty amphitheater. It was kind of cool."He adds, "I cut that just for her and thought it was such an amazing song."You can find "Things I Never Told You" on Parker's latest album, Never Enough, out now.For tickets to Parker's ongoing Burn It Down Tour, visit his website.Copyright © 2024, ABC Audio. UniversalIf you only know one thing about The Fall Guy, it's probably that in one scene Ryan Gosling's character sits in a car and cries while listening to Taylor Swift's song "All Too Well." It turns out the filmmakers were going to use a different song, until Gosling stepped in.Producer Kelly McCormick tells Vanity Fair that The Fall Guy's director, David Leitch, who's also her husband, initially had a tune by late singer/songwriter Harry Nilsson playing in that scene. "But it felt a little melodramatic to me in a bad way," she says. McCormick says around the same time Gosling asked if they should try a Taylor song in the scene.Accord to McCormick, her husband was against the idea until they went to see the Eras Tour. McCormick says David was blown away by Taylor's performance of the 10-minute version of the song. "The first time we dropped it in, we knew there was no going back, and we were going to be really upset if we couldn’t get it," McCormick says.Luckily, according to McCormick, "Taylor is actually really open to sharing her music with film. We showed her what we had cut, and there were no notes. Thankfully, she ... didn’t price herself so far out of our budget that we weren’t able to include her.”According to Vanity Fair, Taylor hasn't seen the movie yet, but she did praise the comedic version of "All Too Well" that Gosling and co-star Emily Blunt did on Saturday Night Live on April 13. On her Instagram Story at the time, she wrote, "Watch me accidentally catch myself singing this version on tour." Copyright © 2024, ABC Audio. All rights reserved.
