The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has confirmed one person dead and six others injured, while six vehicles were burnt down by a gas tanker explosion that occurred at Ita Osin along Abeokuta-Sango-Lagos Expressway in Ogun State on Saturday. The FRSC’s Ogun State Sector Command spokesperson, Florence Okpe, who made this known in a statement said that the deceased was suspected to be the motorboy of the gas-laden tanker.
The Oba of Benin in Edo State, Oba Ewuare II, has approved the suspension of six of his officials over alleged presentation of themselves to the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, at a function as the palace’s emissaries.
