Will keep appealing. mr. president, i thought you were innocent. what are you afraid of? >> every other past president that has been asked to testify before an investigation has, so this raises a huge issue. secondly, my god, this is a man who from moment one said this is all a big hoax, there is nothing there, the democrats are making this up. mr. president, stru, remember. bill clinton didnt exactly run voluntarily. it took a fight over that. >> this is the catch 122 that the president is deal...

Lets be clear about who this population is. they cleared a vet, they were asked questions about their background and they cleared a vet. and this decided to rescind the whole program so i think there is a great deal of unanimity, frankly, about protecting these daca recipients. the question will be whether people want to then throw other issues into it. i think comprehensive immigration reform theres no question must be addressed. its a separate matter. we need to protect these kids who by march...

So im optimistic, and i hope that they continue to remember the urgency of this. there is no march 5th deadline. the deadline was yesterday when 122 people lost their daca. the deadline was last year, were already out of time. so we cant keep fabricating these deadlines and saying oh, we can do this later down the road, because peoples lives are at stake. my life, my employment, my ability to continue to put my skills to use, to make my community and my company better, is all on the line. my ame...

And great is the fact -- is the fact that we are, in fact, a nation of immigrants. in fact, i am agreeing that we need reform to our immigration policy. these draconian policies that paint people who enter this country as some type of threat to the way we live as americans is not how we should be engaging in this debate and this conversation. we have to remember, these are real people. d.r.e.a.m.ers are real people. congress refuses to act on d.r.e.a.m.ers, every day 122 people lose their status...

For d.r.e.a.m.ers, too. how does that change the calculations and fears the d.r.e.a.m.ers are facing tonight? >> i think the anguish that d.r.e.a.m.ers are facing is its cruel, inhumane. we have 122 d.r.e.a.m.ers losing their status every day. the president in september declared that daca was not going to be reknewed. you had 15,000 young people lose their status to date. my heart hurt the day he announced it. there were young people getting up in the morning saying next year, when i turn 15 i w...

Out who is on which side. but he doesnt have -- he claims right now he doesnt have legislation. theres actually legislation. all he needs to do, he who controls the calendar is place it into a vote before members. >> he might extend the march 5th deadline, this is a deadline he created. he has the power to extend it and he just might. so he left that possibility open for d.r.e.a.m.ers, too. how does that change the calculations and fears the d.r.e.a.m.ers are facing tonight? >> i think the angui...

What is at hand right now is one thing. every day congress fails to act and passing legislation, 122 people lose their status. ive been working this over the last ten years, you can see the effects now. in pennsylvania, a young man was pulled over. his passport had expired and he couldnt renew because of the president. he was pulled over because of expired registration. he was processed for deportation. and you can bet from now until march 5, there will be more. >> why dont do you this with chuc...

With the white house on this. he says, in consultation with the leaders and the white house, i believe that a cr through february 8th is necessary in order to work toward our shared goals while providing sufficient urgency in these discussions. so maria that looks like lindsey graham believes he has a plan b that he has worked out with the white house and republican leadership. >> thats what lindsey graham thought on thursday when he went with durbin and basically was completely torpedoed by not...
