According to a new york university study, trade between china and africa has risen from 10 billion in 2000 to $166 billion in 2011. a 16-fold increase. china is now africas largest trade partner. as i reported last week, chinas total aid budget has surged as well from $1.7 billion in 2001 to more than $189 billion in 2011. a substantial chunk of that aid goes to africa. in the short-term, africas leaders may rejoice at having struck a good deal. they no longer need to listen to western criticism...

Thats another 15 million or so people who would have had insurance and arent getting it. maybe the big way it saves money is 45 million people will lose health insurance they otherwise would have gotten or their coverage will become worse. and ryans budget cuts $134 billion from food stamps, which is enough to kick about 8 million to 10 million people out of the program. ryan cuts $166 billion from the portion of the budget that houses our education training employment and social services. we do...
