Unless you’ve been ignoring the automotive realm these past few months, you know that Ford is planning to launch yet another SUV. Unlike some of its smaller offerings in the high-riding segments, it will be an SUV and not a crossover, but we’ll delve into that matter later in this story.
Ford teases us with a video of the 2023 Everest that will soon be launched in Australia, Thailand, and the Philippines. The three-row SUV shares the body-on-frame platform with the new Ford Ranger.
For the 2023 model year, the next-generation Ranger will be produced in many parts of the world. For instance, the automaker's Thai production facilities will receive $900 million to modernize the wholly-owned Ford Thailand Manufacturing and joint-venture AutoAlliance Thailand plants.
North America has the Ranger-based Ford Bronco whereas Australia levels up to the Ford Everest. A three-row sport utility vehicle with body-on-frame underpinnings and diesel engine options, the mid-size model prepares for a ground-up redesign on the T6.2 platform of the all-new Ranger workhorse.
