India News: Pakistani authorities have freed the mastermind of the 2008 Mumbai attacks on bail, a move that swiftly drew furious condemnation from India.
Seema Haider, a Pakistani woman who entered India illegally to marry her Indian lover, faces a new challenge: a 26/11-like terror threat. She and her partner Sachin Meena were granted bail after being arrested for illegally entering India. Recently, Mumbai Police received a threat call similar to the 2008 terrorist attacks, warning of potential terror attacks if Seema doesn t return to Pakistan.
The caller, who spoke in Urdu, said there would be a terror attack like the November 26, 2008 attack on Mumbai and the Uttar Pradesh government will be responsible for it, the police official said. Mumbai Police is investigating the threat call and a crime branch team has also been roped in, he said.
