UPDATE: A remote rescue team has been tasked to reach two climbers who have been âtrappedâ on Mount Tibrogargan for several hours.
Emergency services responded to the popular Glass House Mountains climb after receiving a call for help shortly before midday.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said there were two climbers involved who were trapped near Chicken Rock on the mountain.
The spokeswoman said the remote rescue team estimated at 1.50pm that it would take two hours to reach the pair.
Maroochydore Fire Brigade station officer Ash Dixon said the climbers were on the eastern side of the mountain and either âunfit or not ableâ to continue up or down their climb.

LATEST 11.20AM: A man hit by a car in Allenstown Tuesday morning has been taken to hospital for further treatment.
A Queensland Ambulance Services spokesman said the man, aged in his 70s, suffered leg injuries and was taken to Rockhampton Hospital via ambulance.
He was in a stable condition.
Police are investigating the incident.
BREAKING 10.40AM: Queensland Ambulance Service crews are responding to a crash in Allenstown.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said initial reports suggest a man has been struck by a vehicle near the intersection of Upper Dawson Road and Derby Street.
He said the man, believed to be elderly, has suffered leg injuries and is being treated at the scene by paramedics.
Premium Content A 21-year-old Toowoomba man has died after a horrific crash at Allora, near Toowoomba, overnight. A Queensland Ambulance Services spokesman confirmed just after midnight, emergency services were called to a crash on the New England Highway near the Warwick Road turn-off. It is understood a single vehicle crashed onto a power pole, before rolling. Three Queensland Fire and Emergency Services crews worked to free the man but sadly he died a short time later. The crash brought down power lines and Ergon Energy staff were called in to make the scene safe. Meanwhile, two teenagers have been hospitalised with critical injuries after a car crashed into a tree in the Gympie region last night.
Emergency services arrived to find a vehicle on its side and a young man trapped, with critical injuries. He died a short time after first responders arrived.
