UIDAI is currently educating 48,000 India Post Payment Bank postmen, who will carry out the doorstep Aadhaar service.

The govt has said that the Aadhaar ecosystem had adequate features to protect the identity and privacy of users, and that users are only advised to exercise normal prudence

Since the issue is related to the protection of the personal data of citizens, the government must make a clean breast of the whole project

To avoid this, the UIDAI advises Aadhaar card holders to maintain their cellphone phones updated with the 12-digit identification number at all times. 

UIDAI was unable to provide assurances on the security of "REs and ASAs accessing and storing" Aadhaar users' personal information via unregistered biometric equipment (used prior to April 2018). 

Several Aadhaar faultlines pertaining to duplication of IDs, third-party authentication, and biometric data security was flagged by the CAG.
