This happened on shady glen terrace in Capitol Heights just before 10 00 last night. Officers were trying to stop a suspect in a series of violent crimes. The suspect drove off and jumped out of a car with a gun. The officer shot around three times and hit the suspect in the arm. A gun was recovered from the scene there.
