Kelvin J. Bish, 21, 504 N. Williams St., Apt. B, Paulding, pleaded not guilty to unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. According to court documents, Bish engaged in sexual conduct with a minor when he was 18 years of age at the time while at a residence in Continental from May 1, 2018 through Aug. 31, 2018. The victim is identified as John Doe, born in 2005. He was placed on an OR bond. He must not drink alcohol, have any contact with the alleged victim or have any unsupervised contact with any minor children. Another pretrial was scheduled for 9 a.m. March 1.
Todd M. Settlemire, 35, 411 W. Sugar St., Leipsic, pleaded guilty to receiving stolen property. He faces up to 12 months in prison and $2,500 in fines. Bond was continued while a pre-sentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 9 a.m. March 22. He is to be released from jail on Feb. 18 and reside at the Midwest Recovery Services until sentencing.

The following individuals were indicted by the Putnam County Grand Jury on Thursday.
Steven K. Sheeks, 64, 1035 Heritage Trail, Ottawa; intimidation of a witness in a criminal case and aggravated possession of drugs.
According to court records, Sheeks is accused of knowingly making threats of physical violence against a female on Jan. 28, if she was to be a witness in a criminal case against him while on a phone call at the Putnam County Jail. The charge is a felony of the third degree. The second charge stated that on June 16, 2020, Sheeks did knowingly possess a trace amount of methamphetamine while in Putnam County.
