California Governor signed Assembly Bill AB 2693, which amends, extends COVID-19 workplace notice requirements until January 1, 2024. Under AB 685, if employer receives notice of potential COVID-19 exposure, they must give written notice to employees in one business day.

Governor Gavin Newsom signed over 30 bills affecting employers and employment practices and procedures in California. They take effect January 1, 2023, unless otherwise indicated. These changes include pay transparency, workplace safety, and disability insurance benefits.
