Since September 2018, over 23,000 beneficiaries have benefited from the Ayushman Bharat health insurance scheme at AIIMS, Delhi. The majority of patients seek treatment in medical oncology, ophthalmology, general medicine, orthopaedics, and neurosurgery departments. The Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) scheme has seen 730 procedures for congenital heart diseases, 557 total hip replacements, and 148 total knee replacements.
