A Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday fixed February 14 for ruling on a bail application filed by Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello's nephew, Ali Bello,

Mr Bello and his co-defendants have been remanded since last Wednesday (8 February) when they were arraigned by the EFCC on N3 billion money laundering charges.

Hearing in the bail application filed by Ali, identified as a nephew to Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi and others was on Monday stalled at a Federal High Court (FHC), Abuja.

Justice Obiora Egwuatu of the Federal High Court in Abuja has remanded Ali Bello, nephew of the Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello over N3.081 billion fraud allegation.   The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Wednesday arraigned Ali Bello who was arraigned before Justice Egwuatu alongside Abba Adauda, Yakubu Siyaka Adabenege, Iyada Sadat, Rashida Bello (at large) on 18 counts bordering on criminal misappropriation of funds and money laundering to the tune of N3.081 billion.  

EFCC accused the Kogi State governor's nephew of money laundering and misappropriation of about N3 billion.
