Deputy PM Ayman Safadi says King Abdullah s half brother Hamzah and others had worked with foreign parties to undermine the security of Jordan.
Hamzah had released a video message via the BBC in which he accused Jordan s rulers of nepotism and corruption.
State-run news agency Petra says among those arrested for security reasons were former close aide to royal family Bassem Awadallah.
AMMAN: Half-brother of King Abdullah II was accused of being involved in a plot against the Hashemite kingdom with authroties arresting close to 16 suspects on charges of sedition and alleging foreign complicity.
