The Qatar Career Development Center (QCDC), a member of Qatar Foundation (QF), has organized a webinar series to raise awareness of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), to coincide with April - Autism Awareness Month.
QCDC will hold the next live webinar via Zoom in English, titled ‘Autism Awareness Month: Ordinary Heroes – Nurturing People with Autism’. Taking place on Monday, April 19, at 8 30pm, it targets parents and young men and women with autism.
Special guests Sara Coleman, Special Education Teacher at Awsaj Academy; Samantha Campion-Gibson, Autism Specialist at the Learning Center; and Sabika Shaban, a parent of two neurodiverse children, will speak at the webinar. Doha: Qatar Career Development Center (QCDC), a member of Qatar Foundation (QF), has concluded the 10th edition of its Career Advisor Training Course (CATC), which was delivered in both Arabic and English.
CATC brought together individuals interested in career advising, from different specializations and professional backgrounds, from public and private bodies, as well as educational institutions in Qatar and further afield.
Exclusively offered by QCDC in Qatar and the GCC region, the pioneering program focuses on nine key areas; helping skills, career development and choice theory, assessment and career planning, the role of information in career planning, ethical guidelines, working in groups, using technology, employability skills, and program planning and implementation.

Doha: Qatar Career Development Center recently hosted the National Service Academy (NSA) as part of its Career Advising System programme, with the 239 recruits taking assessments to help identify interests, skills, and possible career paths.
The recruits underwent two types of assessments with Qatar Career Development Center (QCDC), a member of Qatar Foundation Kuder Career Interests Assessment and Super’s Work Values Inventory designed to help young people identify their professional interests and potential before receiving a list of possible career choices.
