KUWAIT CITY, July 1: The Ministerial Committee for Corona Emergencies has approved the request of Kuwaiti Farmers Union to recruit agricultural workers from abroad as the local farming sector is facing severe shortage of laborers, reports Al-Qabas daily. The recruitment will be done through ‘Al-Salama’ platform to ensure strict compliance with health regulations and preventive measures. Chairman of the Board of Directors of the union Abdullah Al-Dammak thanked the committee on behalf of the board for supporting farmers and allowing the recruitment of workers from abroad to cover the current shortage in the local farming sector.
