Coding and marking supplier Domino Printing Sciences (Domino) has appointed Jessica Büttner as group environmental impact manager – a new role created as part of the company’s focus on corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability. Büttner will work with the senior leadership team to progress the company’s CSR strategy and take responsibility for assessing the lifecycle of Domino’s products.

Dutch label specialist Vebraco has acquired a Screen Truepress Jet L350 UV inkjet press to facilitate further growth, resolve a capacity challenge, and bring flexibility in label printing to a higher level. 

UFlex has launched new products in the quarter ended December 31, 2022 across its business verticals.   UFlex Packaging Films business has launched ‘F-TFE’ Thermoformable BOPET film. ‘F-TFE’ Mono or Co-extruded transparent Biaxially-Oriented Polyethylene Terephthalate or BOPET film is specially designed for thermoforming applications for depth formation. The film is recommended to be laminated with a sealant layer.

India based specialty packaging company EPL has upgraded its flexo platemaking process with DuPont Cyrel Fast thermal system that processes flexographic printing plates without the use of solvents or water.   EPL will implement the Cyrel Fast thermal workflow across its global manufacturing sites in North America, South America, Europe and Asia. This initiative from EPL is one more step towards its sustainability commitment.

Terms and conditions of the transaction were not disclosed.
