The Delhi Police on Tuesday while seeking an extension of police custody of accused Aaftab Poonawalla in the Shraddha Walkar murder case, informed the court that a rough site plan has been found at the house of the accused which may assist in the search operation.

Aaftab Amin Poonawala has not yet confessed to killing his live-in-partner Shraddha Walkar in the court of law, his lawyer said on Tuesday.

Even after the confession, police have been scouring for evidence to nail him in court for the murder of Shradha Walkar but it remains a challenge as the crime was detected after nearly six months. Circumstantial evidence and forensic examination hold the key in such cases, according to experts.

Sources said a questionnaire was prepared for the polygraph test so that the sequence of events in the gruesome killing can be ascertained.
