KSU Tuscarawas Makerspace to hold community day COURTESY OF KENT STATE TUSCARAWAS The Makerspace in the Academic Learning Commons at Kent State Tuscarawas, 330 University Drive NE, New Philadelphia, will hold a Meet Your Community Day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 28.   The event will be held in parking Lot A on the campus and is open to the community.  Tuscarawas County community members, including Big Brothers Big Sisters, Buckeye Career Center, Beuhler s Fresh Foods, New Philadelphia Mayor’s office, New Philadelphia fire and police departments, The Salvation Army, Tuscarawas County Center for the Arts, Tuscarawas County Historical Society, Tuscarawas County Public Library, Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office, United States Army and YMCA will be present at the event. Representatives from Kent State Tuscarawas admissions, ALC/Makerspace, engineering, network services and nursing and vet techs will participate in the meet-and-greet event.

Dec 16, 2020 KENT – Kent State University President Todd Diacon recently presented the 2020 President’s Award of Distinction to Maegan Richards of the Salem and East Liverpool Campuses. The award recognizes a staff member who demonstrates outstanding achievements, service, leadership and dedication to Kent State in advancing the university’s strategic priorities and core values. Richards is the Academic Learning Commons coordinator for the Salem and East Liverpool campuses. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English in 2009 and a Master of Library and Information Science in 2011, each from Kent State, and has been a full-time employee on the Salem Campus since September 2011.
