Nearly two months after 26-year-old Erika Bailey was killed by a driver while walking on the road with her family, the driver still does not face charges yet.

The sheriff's office says around 11:30 p.m. Monday, Payton Lecates, 15, left his home in the Greenbackville area of the county on foot.

Wendy Dawn Taylor is currently incarcerated in Worcester County, Maryland, for her involvement in another criminal activity within that jurisdiction. 

Authorities are asking for anyone who may have been driving in the area before or after the incident who may have possible information.

Navy divers recovered the plane by cutting it into sections and preparing each section to be lifted with a sling. A crane lifted each section out of the water, and barges transported the aircraft pieces offsite.

The crash happened in the 23000 block of Lankford Highway near Front Street around 8:42 p.m.

The United States Navy identified the officer who died in a Navy E-2D Hawkeye crash Wednesday night. According to the Navy, Lt. Hyrum Hanlon was assigned to Airborne Command and Control Squadron 120.

A spokesperson for the NASA Wallops Public Affairs Office told News 3 the crash did not happen on NASA property.

According to a news release from Virginia State Police, a trooper was monitoring radar on U.S. 13 north of Dennis Drive when they saw a 2014 Toyota Venza traveling southbound at a high rate of speed around 8:50 a.m.

No students were injured from the crash, and all have been transferred to another school bus.
