But instead accosta rambled on how different the world is today, as if were talking about 1948 instead of 2008. >> todays world treats victims very, very differently. todays world does not allow some of the victim shaming that could have taken place at trial 12 years ago. >> these victims say you failed them. >> i understand what the victims say. and im not here to try to say that i can stand in their shoes or that i can address their concerns. im here to say we did what we did because we wanted...

Chomping cigars and drinking beer in their golf carts. its not a very high-class activity in some arenas. this is the kind of thing that donald trump partook of himself. there is an old saying, the fish stinks from the head down, to quote tony sparano. this is a case where the boss -- there was a day when he would have thought this was a-okay. it made money. >> so, alice, the women were at the event, they were to wear pink minute i skirts, sexy white polos according to the strip club organizer, ...

After go a year, she says this happened. >> did jeffrey epstein rape you? >> yeah, he raped me. forcefully raped me. he knew exactly what he was doing. and i dont think cared. what hurts even more so is that if i wasnt afraid to come forward sooner, then maybe he wouldnt have done it to other girls. >> thats just one alleged victim out of dozens. ive seen pleaded not guilty to federal charges and his attorney has not returned calls from cnn today about the latest allegations. but this is a man w...

To an audience of one. the question is how will that one take all of? sources say the president himself told accosta to hold a press conference and wants the secretary to keep his job. others saying that they think accosta handled himself well today. i guess they must like deflecting, blaming and parsing of words. just listen to what the secretary said about the sdny bringing far more serious charges than the plea deal that he gave epstein. which netted him just 13 months behind bars. most of it...

Together. the other thing what leads me to believe that some of this, the old charges is the southern district of new york said we were allowed to pursue this case because the nonprosecution agreement did not say that we cannot. it only said that charges could not be brought in florida, in the southern district of florida, not the southern district of new york. so, therefore, that is how they were able to bring charges. the other thing to joeys point, we heard -- this is really so disturbing tod...

Do. i have heard those words and these types of stories firsthand all over the country. ive driven the streets with my team to see girls forced to walk the same for sex, for money. if not, they face consequence. we did a documentary on this. you can see it on hln on demand. this is one of the most hidden and pernicious problems in our society. spare me who is better friends with epstein? i dont care about that intrigue. spare me what bothered me most from mr. accosta today, this. >> the message ...

The deal got made the way it did, and why it was kept as secret as it was. but i also want to use this as a chance for people to understand that this problem is very real. we often call prostitution. its not that, its trafficking. >> this is different than prostitution. this is different than me too. this is child sex trafficking. >> yes. >> this is beyond -- may i ask you a question as an attorney? >> please. >> is there anything that you heard from accosta today -- because hes saying basically...

Do you think hell keep his job? accosta? >> i dont see -- look, the conservatives already kind of dont like him because hes not pushing things as hard as they would like him to. i think if he goes, its not going to be because of this. its going to be an excuse to get rid of somebody -- >> he should have given voice to those victims, to kirstens point. regardless, theyre homeless, theyre young, theyre vulnerable. you as the a prosecutor have the ability to stand in front of the jury and say convi...
