Los Angeles County Department of Public Health LACDPH issued an order, that slightly loosened the rules for wearing COVID-19 masks in the county. Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti issued the interim Public Order Under City of Los Angeles Emergency Authority.

On January 5, 2021, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health LACDPH issued an Order of the Health Officer requiring all employers to provide face masks to employees who work indoors and in close contact with other workers or the public.
