The Ford government is trying to tell people dealing with job loss due to COVID-19 that if they want to change careers into the skilled trades, there may be help.
Labour Minister Monte McNaughton has announced a $47 million investment over the next two years to help businesses “hire more apprentices, improve the quality of training and help them complete their training and certification.”

“Employers, especially small businesses, are critical to the training of the next generation of skilled trades workers. And we’ve heard from them that they need our support to help their apprentices complete their training journeys,” McNaughton said Friday.
