Delhi acid attack: As outrage spread over the attack many also raised questions over the availability of acid in markets despite a ban.

A team of Delhi Police officers is headed toward the hospital; TV reports stated that a delegation from Delhi Women's Commission is also headed there.

Three men have been arrested in the Wednesday morning acid attack on a 17-year-old girl in west Delhi, police said. They are currently being interrogated to ascertain the motive behind the attack, they said.

A 17-year-old girl has been hospitalised with serious injuries after two men on a bike threw acid at her in southwest Delhi's Dwarka area today.

Police identified the accused as Sachin Arora (20) and his two associates Harshit Aggarwal (19) and Virender Singh (22). The girl has sustained eight per cent burn injuries and is undergoing treatment at Safdarjung Hospitals burn ICU, officials said.

Waiting outside the burns ward of Safdarjung Hospital where she is undergoing treatment, her father told reporters that her sister was with her at the time and they both were going to school.

According to police, when the girl was going to her school in the Dwarka area of the national capital, two bike-borne miscreants threw acid on her. The girl is undergoing treatment at a hospital where her condition is stated to be critcal

The girl has suffered 7% to 8% facial burns and her eyes have also been affected, a doctor at Safdarjung Hospital said.
