Prime Minister Rishi Sunak gave the go-ahead on Monday to millions of pounds of government funding for two new carbon capture projects, which are seen as vital to the UK s bid to achieve its net zero target by 2050.
The UK government has selected two carbon capture and storage (CCS) projects to establish two new clusters through the Track-2 process, which aims to accelerate development of the UK’s carbon capture, usage and storage (CCUS) industry.
