Im standing in front of the concorde Public Library where up next, curator Leslie Wilson will feature some of their specialcollections. The special collections started rolling when the library was founded in 1873 and it was part of the vision of the founder of the library, William Munro who set this place up specifically to collect local materials. He was very proud of concorde story and the literature and wanted to set up something that would both documents and do credit to the town. Because ju...

Anna a very warm welcome to the program. This is our flagship europe show. Lets talk about what we heard from the fed and what that has done to the dollar. The the dollar the big beneficiary from what we heard from the fed. How the changing expectations from the fed around Interest Rates in 2017 have pushed up the dollar index. All right. Im tired of hearing about the koolaid as in cramers drinking the koolaid again. On a day like today where the dow gained 107 points, nasdaq cliemded 0. 64 , i got to tell you, i know what the koolaid looks like and what it takes like and this aint it. I actually covered the horrific event where the phrase drank the koolaid came from. Back in 1978 i was a reporter covering everyone who died violently in california for the late lamented harold examiner. I was assigned the actual jim joa...

The system, some lightning strikes, and thunderstorms pushing off rapidly. If you are heading up in that direction, the front itself is still off of the mendocino coast, a good line of thunderstorms embedded in this. We still have a ways to go before it moves into the Mendocino County or northern Sonoma County. That will be later today, and we have warm part of this system, southsoutheast in oakland and hayward, everything coming up from that system. South at san jose wind gusts up at 30. 50s an...

Mornings and this started out poorly. North bound 101 is backed up beyond the 280 interchange to the lower deck. We are hoping that the crash being cleared out of the way will make it better than it was. It was pretty slow for a time. Getting into San Francisco, there was a stalled vehicle as well. Thats on the bay bridge. If you look at the bay bridge toll plaza it is slower than it normally is backed up for a 30 minute delay as you head toward the city. Lets talk about some other commutes. We ...

Shift absolutely in the way the market views the relationship between the white house and the economy. And therefore the stocks. It was an amazing transformation which continued today, even as the dow gained 40 points, s p declined 0. 14 and nasdaq advanced 0. 54 . Nice little recovery for the nasdaq. Looking ugly there. We spent all week talking about the markets reaction to trumps election. How it went from being shocked and dazed and confused and scared to suddenly bullish in the blink of an ...
