Sharp decline in Covid cases in Delhi, reports 1407 new infections with 2 deaths - 1,656 cases of infection were reported in Delhi on Friday, which was the highest figure since February 4, but Saturday saw a sharp decline in numbers.

A government release said 11,79,42,288 anti-coronavirus vaccine doses have been administered so far in the state, including 52,074 on Thursday.

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded 1,278 new Covid-19 infections on Thursday (May 5), bringing the total number of cases since the pandemic began to 4,454,113, says the Health Ministry.

A government release said 11,78,36,987 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered so far in the state, including 51,038 on Monday.

According to the latest update by the Union Health Ministry, a total of 3,157 new COVID-19 positive cases were reported on Monday.

The state did not report any death due to the disease during the day, which kept its fatality count unchanged at 1,47,843.

Delhi, today, has the highest number of COVID-19 active cases at 4832, followed by Kerala with 2,737 active cases.

A total of 3,377 new cases of Covid-19 were recorded in India in the past 24 hours, with Delhi reporting the maximum number of fresh infections. As many as 2,496 people recovered from Covid-19 in the past 24 hours too.
