Mr. Supattanapong Punmeechaow, deputy prime minister of Thailand, Mr. Narit Therdsteerasukdi, secretary general of the Thailand Board of Investment and other senior Thai officials and executives attended in Bangkok on 18 October 2022, the announcement by Amazon Web Services (AWS), an Amazon.com, Inc. company, of plans to open an Infrastructure Region in Thailand and to invest an estimated amount of more than $5 billion (190 billion baht) in Thailand over 15 years.
