Constitution says judgments in cases of impeachment shall not extend further than to removal from office and disqualification to hold and enjoy office. And so that requires a separate vote. Twothirds is needed for conviction. 67 is the magic number requiring 17 republicans. But only a simple majority is needed for the second vote of a ban from running in the future.
