And yet, they always did. Rook put it memorably in the opening moments of their 2020 album

As Backxwash s profile has grown monumentally in recent months, it s no surprise that
I Lie Here Buried features some big-name guests. The album is set to include production by Nowhere2Run (a.k.a. Code Orange members Eric Shade Balderose and Jami Morgan) and clipping., as well as appearances by Sad13 (a.k.a. Sadie Dupuis of Speedy Ortiz), composer Lauren Bousfield and veteran Backxwash collaborators Ada Rook and Devi McCallion (a.k.a. both halves of Black Dresses).

THE SOUL SANTAS (BEAK>) -
CHRISTMAS CRACKERS, VOL 1
The Soul Santas are Beak> s Geoff Barrow and Billy Fuller, plus Geoff s scoring partner Ben Salisbury, and Sean Snook who played a one-off Christmas show back in 2014. They recently found a recording of that show, which inspired them to record this record live at Barrow s Invada Studios back in October. Christmas Crackers, Vol 1 features soul/surf instrumental covers of standards such as White Christmas, We Three Kings and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. All proceeds go to Feed the Homeless Bristol.

PURGATORY - STACK EM UP
Midwest hardcore bruisers Purgatory have announced that their sophomore album will arrive in spring 2021 via Unbeaten Records, but first they ve got a bone-crushing new standalone single, Stack Em Up. The band says, This is a very anti-police, anti-politician, anti-justice system song dealing with the corrupt, greedy, evil, vile, racist, hate-fueled things ingrained in the whole system that runs our world.
