A game where both sides capitalised on their respective purple patches saw a late Joe Redmond header from the Saints skipper snatch a share of the spoils for his team against FAI Cup holders Derry City at a sold-out Richmond Park.
Rather than view the kick-off for the new season from the press box, I enjoyed my Friday night stood amongst the Saints supporters on the Camac Side of Richmond Park.
