Bharti Airtel on Thursday said the company has successfully completed the minimum roll-out obligation of introducing 5G services on the 26 GHz spectrum in all 22 telecom circles, in accordance with the norms set by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT). "With broader 5G opportunities enabled by 26 GHz, the company is poised to continuously drive innovation to create the ultimate Airtel 5G Plus experience for its customers,” the company said in a statement.
"Vodafone Idea 5G testing (MRO phase-1) in 26GHz and 3.3GHz at Ghole Road, Pune was successfully completed on 16 August 2023 by Maharashtra LSA Pune," DoT Maharashtra tweeted Thursday. Earlier, Vi CEO Akshaya Moondra during the company s recent earnings call said the company will miss the minimum rollout obligations in 15 out of the 17 circles it acquired spectrum in during the July 2022 5G spectrum auction.
