He is doing well and in good spirits. Police patrol vehicles parked outside of the emergency room entrance of course is where that officer was taken after he was shot by an armed suspect last night. At this time he remains here getting treatment. Throughout the morning we saw officers from the 18th district going in and out of Presbyterian Hospital where hours earlier one of their own was taken after being shot. It happened just before 9 00 sunday evening. Twoyear Philadelphia Police officer James Mccullough was on patrol with his partner in the area of 59th and market when they were stopped by a woman who said two men were breaking into her car. Officers spotted the two men trying to run away from the womans vehicle. Officer mccullough tackled one of the men to the ground and was immediately shot in the leg by the suspect. Police say mccullough fired three shots at the suspect as he ran away. He was bleeding heavily but was able to apply a turn to any ket applying pressure to the woun
