The state government and the BMC assured the Bombay High Court that all mitigation measures to ensure protection and movement of wildlife in the Aarey Colony will be taken while upgrading the existing roads.
The Bombay High Court on Friday dismissed a plea filed by Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) group MLA Ravindra Waikar alleging gross discrimination in allocation of Maharashtra Local Development.
The court also directed the State Environment Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA) or Committee to take the decision on grant of environmental clearance in the minimum possible time.
The court also directed the state government to place on record how much money has been disbursed since February 17 when Waikar's plea was first heard by HC and their allocation per elected representative.
