Police kill two armed robbers in gun duel in Ogun

Men of the Ogun State Police command on Sunday, shot and killed two suspected armed robbers at Sagamu Interchange, along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the command, Abimbola Oyeyemi who disclosed this on Monday in a statement said, the police engaged the robbers in a gun duel during a robbery operation.
According to Oyeyemi, the police at the Sagamu division, received a distress call, that “a robbery operation was going on at Sagamu Interchange and that one of their victims has been seriously injured.

Two suspected armed robbers have been shot during a gun exchange with the police in Shagamu, Ogun state, an official has said.
The incident occurred around 9 p.m. on Sunday, and other members of the gang escaped with gunshot injuries.
The Ogun State police spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi, in a statement on Monday, said the robbery operation was at the interchange area of Shagamu before the police intervened and shot dead two of the suspected armed robbers.
Mr Oyeyemi said the police responded to a distress call and the officers met the suspected robbers attacking one Agba Enoch, before they engaged them in a gun duel.

Two men, who were suspected to be armed robbers have been shot dead on Sunday by the police at the Sagamu interchange axis of the Lagos-Ibadan highway, Ogun State.
The DPO of Sagamu division, CSP Okiki Agunbiade had received a distress call at about 9 pm, that a robbery operation was going on at the area and that one of their victims had been bady injured.
Upon the distress call, the DPO was said to have quickly led a patrol team to the scene where they met the robbers attacking one Agba Enoch.
DAILY POST gathered that a gun battle ensued between the police and the armed robbers, leading to the death of two members of the gang, others, however, escaped with gunshot injuries.
