A 38-year-old man was denied bail when he appeared before Magistrate Aden Stroude at the Siparia Magistrates’ Court today charged with sexual assault. The accused was charged with three offences – one count of sexual touching, one count of permitting a child to make child pornography, and one count of being in possession and control of child pornography.
Jimmy Lalla of, Penal, was arrested after a relative of the minor made a report to police on August 18th 2019. According to police reports, the victim reported that sometime in August 2019 the accused allegedly sexually touched her, encouraged her to take a nude photograph with her cell phone, and send to the accused via WhatsApp.
