Plane Crash: Reps minority caucus calls for investigation The COAS, Ibrahim Attahiru, and 10 others died in the military plane crash on Friday in Kaduna. The caucus, in a statement by its leader, Ndudi Elumelu (PDP, Delta), called for a “system-wide investigation” into this crash and two other military plane crashes. “Our caucus calls for a system-wide investigation into the cause of the crash as well as the last two crashes of our military planes which also led to the loss of lives of our gallant and promising officers,” the caucus said.

The Kaduna State Governor, Nasir el-Rufai has come under ‘fire’ for his handling of the many abductions in his state. This is coming in the aftermath of the killing of three of the students of Greenfield University, a private institution located off the now dangerous Kaduna-Abuja Highway in Chikun Local Government Area of the State. DAILY Post reported that unspecified number of students were abducted after bandits invaded the school and killed a security staff while taking away some of the students. However, Nigerians were shocked when the State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan announced on Friday that three of the students, a male and two females had been killed by the insurgents.
