The rear windscreen of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi s vehicle was damaged during the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in West Bengal s Malda region. The incident reportedly occurred when sudden brakes were applied to avoid a woman who came in front of the vehicle. Congress claimed that the glass broke due to the rope used in the security cordon. While West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee condemned the incident and said it happened in Bihar, Congress leader Adhir Chowdhury, who was in the vehicle, initially stated that stones were pelted at the glass.
