The two top jobs on this year's list were in healthcare. Optometrist ranked second while registered nurse took the first spot.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella ranked at the top of this list from Comparably, followed by Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen.

"This doesn't look like a labor market that's teetering on the edge of recession," economist Daniel Zhao told Insider.

The economy is 524,000 payrolls away from hitting the job count it boasted in February 2020. If hiring holds strong, it could be there in two months.

The country's economic recovery is still booming along, but more Americans are opting out of looking for work.

The most disproportionately popular job differs by metro area. For Denver, it's geoscientists and for Philadelphia it's shampooers.

The strength of the US dollar compared to the euro is the highest it's been in 20 years — and just in time, as Americans get the travel bug.

"We're going to see hundreds, nay, thousands of stations falling back under $4 per gallon," GasBuddy's Patrick De Haan said.

The US economy had 11.3 million job openings at the end of May, according to data out Wednesday. That's down from the 11.7 million seen in April.
