Fox Metro Solar Farm Energized and Fully Operational District will Save $160,000 Per Year and $4,000,000 over Project Term News provided by Share this article Share this article MONTGOMERY, Ill., April 14, 2021 /PRNewswire/ Today Fox Metro officials announced that its 2.6 MW Solar Farm is fully Energized and performing as expected.  The Solar Farm is located on a vacant 9-acre parcel at the North End of the facility located on Route 31 in Montgomery, IL.  The solar farm will generate over 3.9 million kilowatt (kWh) per year, and power around 16 percent of the plant s operations.   This will save ratepayers over $4 million dollars.
