NDE trains 136 unemployed youths in Ondo

Vanguard News NDE trains 136 unemployed youths in Ondo On Dayo Johnson – Akure The National Directorate of Employment NDE said it has trained no fewer than 136 unemployed youths in both the Advanced National Open Apprenticeship Scheme ANOAS and Modern Agricultural Practice in Ondo state. Director-General of the NDE, Mallam Abubarkar Fikpo said this in Akure at the Orientation of the 2021 ANOAS and the Orientation of the participants in the Rural Employment Promotion Department REP. Fikpo noted that the objective of the ANOAS was to acquaint the participants with mother methods of service delivery in specific trades and sharpen their skills using advanced methods and technology available in industries and corporate outfits.

Taraba: NDE kick off training for women, youths

Taraba state office of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has commenced training for three hundred and fifty two women and youths on both Basic and Advance National Open Apprenticeship Scheme (NOAS). State coordinator, NDE, Illiya Yakubu Ilelah who spoke while addressing participants, said the aim of the training is to provide technical and vocational training for unemployed women and youths in the state. Of the 320 participants, 20 were selected from the sixteen local government councils of the state for the basic while two participants were selected from each council for the advance NOAS to make a total of 32. The exercise, which is for recruited Basic-National Open Apprenticeship Scheme (B-NOAS) and the Advanced-National Open Apprenticeship Scheme (A-NOAS), has participants from all the local government councils of the state. Stressing their desire to take youths off the street by discouraging them from acts capable of igniting crisis or jeopardizing the present peace

According to NDE, the programme is an advanced training of the Basic National Open Apprenticeship Scheme (BNOAS) where participants will be trained on more than 10 skills such as carpentry and tailoring.
