The South African National Council for the Blind (SANCB) said Universal Ballot Templates(UBT), meant to provide the visually impaired access to the ballot paper were not available in many voting stations and some people were allegedly turned away.

Braille and large font ballot template to assist visually impaired to vote

The templates have windows numbered in Braille and with numbers in large white font so that people with different tactile, literacy, reading and sight levels can use the same template.
