A defence lawyer says Nathaniel Veltman, who was sentenced in February to life in prison with no chance of parole for 25 years, has filed an “inmate notice of appeal."
A white supremacist committed terrorism when he ran a Muslim family down for an evening stroll, a Canadian judge said Thursday as she sentenced him to life in prison for murders.
The victim impact statement from the boy, now 11, was the last of 71 statements entered into court over two days as part of the sentencing for Nathaniel Veltman.
Sentencing submissions are scheduled for Jan. 4 and 5 in London, Ont. In November, Nathaniel Veltman was found guilty in the June 6, 2021 attack on the Afzaal family.
