36 Girls at Tripura Govt. Orphanage test COVID Positive, Agartala Under Curfew from 17 May
Girls aged between 7 and 16 from both the units tested positive. Tripura government has decided to impose curfew with effect from 5 AM on May 17 for the next 14 days

Agartala: 36 girls were tested positive for COVID-19 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Valika Niwas in Agartala. The incident has forced the state government to consider stricter measures to break the infection chain.
Sources said that the children at the State Children Home for Girls were tested as part of the ongoing Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) being conducted in all municipal wards.
