Facebook Share CHICOPEE The search for an 11-year-old who has been missing for six days continued on Thursday with a widespread aerial search of the Connecticut River. Aiden Blanchard was last seen around 11:30 a.m. on Friday in the Willimansett neighborhood and is believed to have been heading to the area of the Medina Street Boat Launch at the Connecticut River. His family reported him missing later in the day.

Agawam pedestrian seriously injured after being struck by vehicle Updated Jan 20, 2021; AGAWAM – A 77-year-old pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck by a motor vehicle Wednesday afternoon. The man suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash. He was taken to Baystate Medical Center, in Springfield, by the Agawam Fire Department ambulance, said Police Lt. Dan Bonafilia. The pedestrian, whose name was not released, was struck at about 4:15 p.m. while he was near 638 Mill St. The vehicle has heading westbound when the crash occurred, he said. Mill Street is currently closed between Franklin and Kensington streets while Agawam Police, with the assistance of the Massachusetts State Police Collision and Reconstruction Section, investigate the crash, Bonafilia said.
