LAHORE: The Punjab government on Friday posted Asadullah Hafeez, awaiting posting, as a member (private sector development) of the Planning and Development Board against a vacant post.
Punjab Transport Secretary Syed Ali Murtaza, also chairman of the provincial transport authority, has been entrusted with the additional charge of the post of Chief Minister’s Inspection Team chairman for three months or till the posting of a regular incumbent, whichever fell earlier.
Farmers receive subsidy cheques in Potohar
Farmers were urged to avail the facilities provided under the ABAD’s projects

Cheques were distributed among those farmers in Potohar area who constructed water conservation resources for their agriculture lands.
Agency for Barani Areas Development (ABAD) Director General (DG) Abad Abdul Sattar Risani distributed cheques among the farmers under the government subsidy scheme in the Potohar region of Punjab. The officials of the Geology and Agriculture Departments were also present at the cheque distribution ceremony held on Thursday.
While informing the farmers regarding schemes initiated by ABAD, they were told ongoing and previous schemes launched by the agency aimed at economic prosperity of the farmers, conservation of water reserves in arid areas along the promotion of agriculture.
