[laughter] brian: unfortunately, for us, the media has gone full castanza and refused to acknowledge that a midterm election red wave has been growing since joe biden entered office. americans have felt what it s like when republicans deliver and they are tired of the disappointments under the biden administration. frustration with the failure and direction of the country we have been heading. in even democrats began turning on each other. but, after a series of small victories for the white house, the left has a new talking point the red wave is dying because of all the liberal momentum. some of us have been trying to tell y all the supreme court nuking abortion rights has shifted the midterm momentum to the democrats. politics and the midterms there are some signs that democrats are getting some momentum back. red wave you have been hearing so much about. well it doesn t look like that s going to happ
just as the republicans are doing and that s what the administration is struggling with right now. and larry, i actually direct the same question to you. what s your sense? do these legislative agenda ideas, nascent as they may be, matter to voters ahead of a midterm? yes, they do matter to voters. the 2% who are elite and actually read this stuff and care about it. as for everybody else, look, it s good government to issue a platform and give people a sense of what you re going to do if you re elected, but it s good politics, as a.b. just suggested, to give people no real hint, although they already know what the republicans are going to do. nobody is in any doubt about what will happen if they take over the house or senate or both. we re talking about extreme gridlock for the final two years of president biden s first term. yeah. gridlock in washington? larry, the pessimism. i can t it s cynical. a.b. stoddard, larry sabato, appreciate as always your wisdom
himself. it s very discourageing to me as somebody who is a lifetime conservative republican that the american people have finally given us this great opportunity having the house and the senate and the white house to advance the agenda that this president campaigned on and that his own actions and his own words get in the way of that so often. howard, the democrats jump on these tweets as well whenever they can, the democrats to put it bluntly, haven t won a special election. should they be focusing more on their agenda ideas, their policy ideas, fixing problems with obamacare, et cetera? well, i think you posed two questions, which have not the same. i don t think the special elections are a bad tine, here we take four very republican districts and come within four or six points in all the seats where we were behind 20 in the last election. i m not concerned about that the special elections prove we can,
