Growing interest in the vaccine
At Mountaire Farms’ poultry plants in Millsboro and Selbyville, the company is waiting for the call that the COVID-19 vaccine is on its way, said Catherine Bassett, the company s director of communications and community relations.
“We think it’s going to be the most important tool we have to stop the spread of this virus,” Bassett said.
Both Mountaire and Perdue Farms, two of the major poultry companies in Sussex County and Delmarva, have started planning for the vaccine since word spread of its availability.
