Spring Fire consumes 17 acres near Sacramento, Lincoln National Forest
Fire crews completed a line around the Spring Fire which consumed 17 acres of public and private land near Sacramento in two days.
Officials with the U.S. Forest Service believe the Spring Fire was ignited Feb. 5 as the result of human activity near Hay Canyon Road and Agua Chiquita Road . It had consumed five acres on Friday, growing to 17 acres to include Spring Canyon in the Lincoln National Forest.
The fire is also believed to have burned at least one structure.
"Fire fighters worked overnight to complete fire line around all sides of the fire," a fire update from the Forest Service read.
